Stéphen Rostain

Stéphen Rostain is a CNRS senior researcher in archaeology at the ArchAm laboratory in Paris. He has worked in Amazonia, primarily Guyana, French Guiana and Ecuador, for 35 years, and has organised a number of international interdisciplinary projects, in particular from a historical ecology viewpoint. Rostain was recently awarded the 2020 Grand Livre d’Archéologie prize for his book Amazonie, l'archéologie au féminin.
