A specialist in hydrogen and fuel cells and a professor at the Université de Franche-Comté, Daniel Hissel heads the FCLAB, a CNRS research federation specializing in fuel cell systems and comprising research teams from five laboratories. He also heads the team in charge of hybrid electric systems, electric actuators and PAC systems at the Femto-ST1 institute. On December 4, 2017, he was awarded the Blondel Medal by the SEE (Electricity, Electronics and Information and Communication Technology Society).
