Sociologist David Pontille is a senior researcher at the Centre de sociologie de l’innovation (CNRS / Mines Paris Tech).
His work falls at the crossroads of science and technology studies, workplace studies and anthropology of writing. He is particularly interested in how research infrastructures have set up different policies to evalutate scientific work, and this particularly in light of the recent changes in authorship that were enforced following scientific fraud allegations.
He is a board member and secretary of the French learned society that publishes the Revue d’anthropologie des connaissances. He is also co-editor of a blog dedicated to scientific writing practices: scriptopolis.
