A specialist in signal and image processing, Paul-Antoine Libourel is a research engineer in the "SLEEP" team of the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center.1 After several years working at the Muséum d’Histoire naturelle in Paris, he joined this sleep neurobiology team, where he studies  the mechanisms, function and evolutionary origin of paradoxical sleep.
